IND vs NED in the ICC World Cup 2023 took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It was the last league game of the tournament, which saw India thumping the opposition by runs and registering their 9th straight win of the tournament.
India won the toss and opted to bat first. It was a rollicking start from them as Rohit Sharma (61) and Shubman Gill (51) added 100 runs for the opening partnership. They batted aggressively and took the team off the flying start in Bengaluru. After their opening partnership, Virat Kohli (51) played a vital hand as well.
Virat Kohli slammed a vital half-half-century before Shreyas Iyer (128*) and KL Rahul (102) hit brutal half-centuries to outplay the Netherlands. Their staggering centuries powered India to a gigantic total of 410 runs on the board.
India was on the top with the ball as well. Mohammed Siraj removed Wesley Barresi in the second over. After that spinners did the job and put the team in a winning position. Max O’Dowd (30), Colin Ackerman (35), and Sybrand Engelbrecht (45) got starts but bowlers chipped in with regular wickets.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also picked wickets as India used 9 bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav bagged two wickets each as they bundled out the opposition for just 250 runs to win the game by 160 runs.
