Pat Cummins Comments, Glenn Maxwell Likes Distasteful Instagram Post Mocking Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli

Days after winning the ICC World Cup 2023, Australian captain Pat Cummins and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell have become the hot soup again. They liked a post on Instagram that mocked Indian players including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Australia thumped India by 6 wickets in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. They outplayed the hosts and dominated them with both bat and ball. They surprised many when they opted to field first in the big final. Their decision paid off as they bundled out Men in Blue for just 240 runs.

Although they lost three early wickets, they held their nerves and then dominated the Indian bowlers. Travis Head (137) was the wrecker-in-chief behind the carnage as he slammed brutal ton and put the Indian team under immense pressure. Marnus Labuschagne (58*) supported him well as they completed a comfortable 6-wicket win.

As Australia defeated the undefeated Indian team in the final of the World, an Australian media page shared a derogatory post about the Indian team. It showed hospital babies, who had the faces of 11 Indian players. They captioned the picture: ‘South Australian Man Gives Birth To World Record 11 Sons’

Here’s the post:

The South Australian Man is here referred to as Travis Head. The southpaw played a blinder of an innings in the final. He took the attack to the Indian bowlers and made a mockery of the bowling attack, which was by far the best in the tournament.

The post was liked by former Australian captain Aaron Finch and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. Also, Pat Cummins commented a few laughing emojis on the post.

I think I’ve never seen someone bowl the sequence he did – Marnus Labuschagne on Pat Cummins

Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne heaped rich praise on skipper Pat Cummins for his performance in the ICC World Cup 2023 final. Labuschagne said that it was his best day on the field with the ball and that he deserves a lot of credit for the show he put on. He added that the way he bowled in the middle overs was exceptional. Speaking to SEN Afternoons, he explained:

“I think that was certainly Pat’s best day with the ball. I think I’ve never seen someone bowl the sequence he did, bowling the right balls at the right time that he did. I haven’t seen that from a middle overs bowler, a pace bowler especially in a long time. A lot of credit has to go to him.”

Pat Cummins bowled exceptionally well in the final and put a lot of pressure on the Indian batters. He jolted India with the blow of in-form Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.
